Records Destruction
Services that securely collect, destroy, and document disposal of paper, media, and data-bearing equipment.
Buying context
Why it matters
Disposal is the final step in data custody, not ordinary waste removal. The bank needs retention authorization, secure handling, destruction matched to the medium, and evidence that no recoverable data remains.
Due diligence
Questions to ask
- Which paper, film, drives, devices, tapes, cards, and other media can the provider destroy?
- How is custody documented from locked container through transport, destruction, and recycling?
- What destruction method and particle or physical standard applies to each medium?
- How are personnel, facilities, vehicles, subcontractors, incidents, and certificates monitored?
